Tamia Marylin Washington Hill
(born Tamia Marylin Washington on May 9, 1975), professionally known as Tamia, is a Canadian-American Grammy-nominated R&B singer. She first gained prominence at age 19 for contributing to "You Put a Move on My Heart," the first single from Quincy Jones' 1995 album Q's Jook Joint.

She is best known for her 2000 hit "Stranger In My House" and Fabolous' 2003 song "Into You", sampling her 1998 song "So Into You", from her debut album.

Tamia Hill Biography

Grant Hill’s wife Tamia Hill, born may 9th 1976 in Windsor, Ontario is a 4-time Grammy nominee. She recently gave birth to her and Grant’s second daughter Lael. An event that seems to have rejuvenated the 35-year-old and reinvigorated the Suns’ 40-year quest for an NBA championship. Here you can view her official Myspace page.

Tamia, who started singing in a gospel choir in her hometown in Ontario when she was six years old, just released her fifth album. Her first recording was a song written by Quincy Jones and was followed by participation in the collaboration “Missing You” with Brandy, Chaka Khan and Gladys Knight. Both songs were nominated for Grammy’s in 1995. Tamia had several TV-appearances as well. She first acted in Speed 2: Cruise Control in 1997 and also appeared on Beverly Hills 90210 and The Steve Harvey Show.
